Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Die Maintenance Engineer to manage tool room operations, die manufacturing, and maintenance activities. The candidate will ensure smooth production by maintaining dies, improving processes, and meeting quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for Tool Room operations, including die manufacturing and machine section activities
Perform and manage preventive maintenance of dies and tools
Handle die maintenance, die assembly, and tool assembly
Plan and execute die manufacturing activities
Manage outsourcing of die manufacturing as per requirements
Ensure proper discipline and system implementation in the tool room
Plan inputs and resources required for die manufacturing
Work on continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and methods
Maintain and review die maintenance notes received from production
Ensure die availability as per production requirements (QCD: Quality, Cost, Delivery)
Maintain minimum stock levels of tools and spares (e.g., core pins)
Prepare and maintain die breakdown data and reports
Maintain a record of all dies along with drawings in the plant
Maintain die history cards including shots and tool life
Implement preventive maintenance plans and die improvements
Ensure achievement of quality objectives
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Die Maintenance & Tool Room operations
Knowledge of ISO / IATF / EHS standards
Proficiency in MS Office
Good organizational and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Industry Preference:
Manufacturing / Die Casting / Tool Room
